Welcome to Village of Ashley

Dear Residents:

The village has started our next waterline improvement project which improves capacity, volume and pressure on the east side.  This is Phase 2 of the water improvement project, Phase 1 completed on the west side a few years ago.  This project installs a new 8” supply line tying the two towers together running along Ashley Rd, South and Harrison Streets.  Replacing 6” iron pipes installed in the 1930’s which are long past their useful life.  This will provide the supply “backbone” for the future side laterals extending into adjacent streets.  Total project cost is approximately $2.1 Million and is funded by a 500K grant and a 0% interest loan from the Ohio Public Works Commission, as well as our water capital improvements fund.  For more information, please contact the Mayor’s office or attend a Village Council or Board of Public Affairs meeting.

We are conducting a water service line inventory identifying the types of water supply lines connecting all households to our main water supply lines.  The Ohio EPA is requiring all public water systems to conduct this survey to identify any lead pipes in current service.  If your water meter is inside your home, please complete the self-survey we mailed or call the utility office to schedule an inspection by the village staff.

We have approved engineering plans and Ohio EPA permits to make improvements at the Waste Water Treatment Plant, and are pursuing funding opportunities as they become available.

I’d like to congratulate the Ashley American Legion and Auxiliary for organizing and operating the Ashley Corn Show.  It was a great success and I look forward to next year’s Show building from this year’s great events.  JOB WELL DONE!!!

Village Water Quality Report

The Village's 2023 Consumer Confidence Report is available for review.  The Ohio EPA requires all community public water systems to annually prepare Consumer Confidence Reports (CCRs), due July 1st each year.  This report provides measured results from the sampling for bacteria, inorganic, radiological, synthetic organic and volatile organic contaminants during 2023.
