Utilities Department

The village provides and bills for the following utilities:

Water
Sewer
Trash

Meter readings are read by the 7th of each month. These readings are used to calculate the consumption of water in gallons. The sewer and water charges are based on this calculation. Trash is a Bid & Contracted service and a fixed fee for all residents.

Additionally, the village adds Water and Sewer Capital Improvements charges to the utilities bill to build funds to pay for needed improvements to the water and sewer infrastructure throughout the village.

Water Deposit Policy:

A utility deposit is due before water will be turned on. This deposit will be refunded after the resident has moved from the residence after the entire account is paid in full.

All accounts require a deposit of $100.00

The Village of Ashley Utility Bills are mailed out by the first of each month. Your Utility bill is due by the 15th of each month by 4:00 p.m. If the 15th is on a Saturday or Sunday of the month, the bill is due the next Monday by 8:00 a.m. After the 15th, a 10% penalty of the current balance is added to the account's bill. On the 26th at 10:00 a.m. of each month, if the bill is not paid, water will be shut off at the delinquent account address.

Re-connect Fee must be paid in addition to current balance to restore services.

Returned Check Fee:

$35.00 must be paid in addition to current balance to restore services.

No checks accepted for one year year after returned check date.
